Ministry of Health

The Vietnamese ministry with overall responsibility for health policy, healthcare services, and the regulation of medicines, supplements, food safety, medical devices, cosmetics and pharmaceutical practice. MOH issues ministerial-level instruments (Thông tư of the Bộ Y tế — "TT-BYT") and delegates operational regulation to its directorates: DAV for drugs, IMDA for medical devices, Cục Quản lý Y, Dược cổ truyền for traditional medicine, and the food and cosmetic directorates.
